Here is a combined video of Rachel and Zoe and also of us sledding with Rachel. (Sorry they're a little late- we'll get everything up one day!)

Wind!

This past week we a few days straight of high winds... this is the result. The picture doesn't show how bad it is. There were quite a few branches sticking straight up out of the snow. Some of which were about 4 feet tall. We were afreaid to let Zoe out during the storms because the branches are so sharp!
And yes, the snow is still about 4-5 inches deep from all that has accumulated over the past 2 weeks. And yes, we are supposed to get another 1-4 tonight into tomorrow!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Look at this sweetheart! I am so happy and relieved when all the nursery workers at church get excited to see her. They all love her and fight over who will get to play with her and hold her. I love her little outfit that she got to wear today. A good friend from church, Amanda, gave it to her to wear especially for Valentine's day! Aunt Kim provided the bow and socks. (oops, we didn't get a shot of the socks... they look just like the bow- hearts all over!)

In my last post I wrote about wanting her to hit milestones... never let me say that again! I do believe teething has started. Her bottom gums are a little white and we can feel little nubs. She has been feeling a bit puney this afternoon. Time to break out the orajel!

4 months!

It's hard to believe that Rachel is 4 months old. She had her checkup today. (She had to see a different doctor because her usual doctor is on his way to Haiti.) The doctor was happy with how Rachel is progressing and even said that she had a big belly! After she threw him a big smile and squealed at him a little, he called her a drama queen... I don't know where she would have picked that up! We had been giving her a little bit of cereal every once in a while at lunch or dinner with us. He said that there was no need to and to try and hold off until she is about 6 months. I'm a little disapointed with that... I was just hoping to give her some "real" food. I know there's no need for it, just a milestone I was looking forward to!
So here are her stats:
Head: 16 in. 40%
Weight: 12 lb 13 oz 31%!! (she was 13% at 2 months)
Height: 27.7 in 65% I believe she got the Nieter gene!
She is doing so many fun things now.
She loves to smile and laugh.
She now pets Zoe (video to come soon).
She yells at us to make sure we're paying her enough attention.
She drools like crazy. Her bottom gums are getting a little hard-teeth on the way!
She sleeps through the night! :-)

What a cutie!

So during all of our snow days last week, I had a little too much fun making bows for Rachel! I found some bows that actually stayed in her hair... no tape!Daddy's gonna have a hard time keeping the boys away!

Look at those blue eyes!

I wish you could hear the laugh that went with this smile... so cute!

This is one of my favorites... posing already!

"Sitting" by herself. She was more propping herself up with her arms and she fell over right after the picture was taken. Hey, you gotta start somewhere!

Snow!

Since the snow just keeps coming, we decided to go on a hunt for a sled. Most stores looked at us like we were crazy when we asked. I got word at work yesterday that there was a store that had a stash, so last night we finally made the best purchase of the winter!

Dustin tried to get Zoe to pull him down the hill, but she was a little confused (as usual). After a nice nap, Rachel was ready to face the elements! I think I was the most excited out of all of us!

Dustin had a little too much fun making a fort on the deck!

Getting ready to head down the little hill in the back yard.

Don't worry, I stayed clear of the tree! (For those of you who don't know, I had a little incident with a sled and a tree when I was little)

That was fun!

"I'm ready to go!"

Expressions

Rachel woke up from her nap today quite happy, so we took advantage of it! I can't believe how big she's getting. Hard to believe she'll be 4 months in just a few days.
