15 weeks!

Here we are at 15. Exciting news this week... I felt the baby move on Friday! I could even lean back and Dustin was able to feel a little. So exciting! Now we're just letting him or her know that it was fun to feel the moving at 10 p.m. at first, but that is not going to be a normal wake up time.

More fun with family

Mom and Dad Nieter were able to come up for a visit this weekend and just spend some time together. The guys went out and took some photos on Saturday while the ladies did a little bit of shopping.
We went to The Homeplace for dinner on Saturday night. It's this great homestyle restaurant in the middle of the country. It takes a while to drive there, but well worth it.
Exciting news... we have green in the garden! So it looks like we'll have cucumber and zucchini at least!

Relaxing in the hammock... hopefully I'll be able to get in and out of that for a while still!

At the Homeplace before we ate.

Yea for little sprouts!

14 Weeks

Well, here we are at 14 weeks. I am starting to have more days in a row where I feel really good. I think I'm getting the hang of what I can eat and when! I am happy that I was able to go to a great second hand shop and get a few more clothes to wear, since my "regular" wardrobe is slowly dwindling!

Visit with the Family!

Brent, Kim, and Blake were able to spend part of Spring Break with us here in Roanoke. We've had a great time going to parks, taking walks, and just hanging out!

The tunnel is so much fun!
We all had a fun time at the park on a beautiful day today.

Uncle Dusty's fun to go down slides with.

At the Roanoke star.
Blake was happy to talk to family on Aunt Lori's cell phone... he even sent a few texts!

Catch up

Here are a few pictures from our trip to the park the other day. It was nice to get out in the nice weather for a while.

We were so excited that Zoe wasn't afraid of this water! Maybe she'll venture into the pool at mom and dad's this summer on her own.

I was a little tired by this time in the walk, but Zoe was ready to go.

This is a "gift" from some of Dustin's students. It was sitting on his podium one day at school. (The money you could be saving with Geico)

13 Weeks

Well, here we are at 13 weeks! Maternity pants are a must now, but I was excited that I was able to wear an "old" dress to church today. I haven't been feeling too well this past week... a lot of headaches which have put me out of comission some. I was really hoping to be over the sickness part of pregnancy!

I forgot to mention the exciting news from my doctor's appointment... which is the date of my next appointment! May 15th we go back and will hopefully be able to find out if we're having a boy or girl! We can hardly wait to start calling him a him or her a her!

Spring "Break"

Roanoke County's spring break began on Friday. I would say that it's been a relaxing break so far, but I think we've done more these past two days then we usually do over a regular weekend!
Friday morning I started off by going to a Dr.'s appointment. It was actually the first time that I met "my" Dr. (before I had just seen a nurse practitioner). She is wonderful! Very nice and easy to talk to. There wasn't anything much to the appointment, just a check up. I did get to hear the heartbeat again! It was at about 150-160. During the minute or so that the doppler was on me, the baby moved about 2-3 times... I think we have a feisty one!
Then I came home and we planted grass seed and I planted my attempt at a vegetable garden. I haven't ever done one of these before so hopefully we'll have something to show for it this summer.
Today has been filled with housework and more housework. Dustin fixed our ceiling fan in our room and gotten other odd jobs done too.

I should have another picture to post tonight or tomorrow!

A beautiful weekend

After a week of rain, we were so thankful for a gorgeous weekend. We took off yesterday to Lynchburg and walked around some of our favorite parks that we used to visit in college. Then we went to one of our favorite restaurants... Texas Roadhouse. One of the few things that Roanoke doesn't have! (Kohl's and Babies R Us are a couple other places I wish we had)

Today we were able to get out and Dustin mowed the lawn for the first time this season. I was going to get started on my first vegetable garden, but it is supposed to get down to freezing one night this week again, so hopefully I can get that done next weekend!

12 Weeks

Well, Grandpa "Stubby" was right... the clothes from last week no longer fit. I even had to break down and wear maternity pants to work on Friday and church today. Shirts are still OK for the most part.
