Jeter's Farm

We met up with some friends from our small group at church to have some pumpkin patch fun. The other couples both have little girls close to the same age, so they were able to have some fun, too!

Rachel and Maddie looking at all the big pumpkins. (Maddie is going to be a big sister in a few months, too!)

Did you see that?

The daddy's got tired, so the mommy's took over for a little bit

Heading down a slide down the side of a hill. The kids had a blast (the big kids may or may not have gone down on our own a few times)

Yes, she went head first, by herself, quite a few times. She may have thrown a slight tantrum when we had to leave... she just had too much fun and wanted to keep going down the slide!

The Homeplace!

We have an amazing small group that we are a part of at church this semester. We are going through the series "Making the Most of Your Marriage" by Kevin Leman. The series is great, our leaders are great, and all of the couples are great too! Everyone is in about the same stage of life and the kids all get along, too! We decided that we all needed to go out to eat as a group and it was not difficult to all agree to The Homeplace!

The Homeplace is one of the greatest places to eat of all time. It is all you can eat, homestyle, awesome food- they even brought us seconds on our desserts! We had nearly 30 people in our group, including 6 highchairs! So glad we got our own room.

Our very own room, filled with our amazing group!

After we ate, we went out into the yard and took LOTS of pictures! (The Homeplace is an old farmhouse on a mountain in the middle of nowhere and is a great backdrop for pics)

Rachel was trying to climb over the fence to get to the "oofs," which is her word for dog- or in this case, cows.

Thanks, April for taking a family picture for us!

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a wonderful day with friends and family on July 4th this year! We went to church in the morning. There was a guest singer, Alvin Slaughter, who did all the music, which was wonderful! We went to a friend's house for an early dinner, then headed over to our church to watch fireworks. A lot of people from the community go to our church because we have the best view of the valley from up there! The church decided to make a big deal out of it this year and make it a ministry opportunity and it worked! There were inflatables set up for kids, concessions, and our bookstore/cafe were open too. The proceeds from the bookstore/cafe go to missions, so we were really excited to see a constant line all afternoon.
Dustin's parents met us up at the church and will be spending the next few days with us.

Hi! Rachel was excited to see the big flag waving. (I love the boy looking at Rachel behind her!)

Here are the inflatables that were set up... in another year or two Rachel will really enjoy them if they keep this going.

She was so happy to be made over by all of our friends!

The sunset was gorgeous!

Our parking lot has 3 tiers and it was starting to get packed when I took this picture. By the time fireworks started, there were no parking spots left. There is a long driveway leading up to the top of the mountain to get to the church. People were parked and lined up on both sides of the driveway. There was a charter bus that came up too!
