What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had this year. It was a little strange because we usually run out of school on Wednesday and drive to Chesapeake and visit/relax then pack up and run home Sunday after church. Although it was always a great time, it was nice this year to not have to travel so much! It was a little weird not cooking and preparing with my mom though...
We had a wonderful lunch at Papa Joe and Baba's house again- 14 adults and 7 kids 3 tables all lined up and a great buffet! Just because I want to remember...
Dustin, me, Rachel, Gavin
Mom, Dad
Brent, Kim, Blake, Allison
Jim and Sandra Brown (Kim's parents)
Aunt Caroline and Gigi (Kim's great aunt and grandmother)
Joe, Jen, Erin, Anna, Megan (Kim's sister and her family)
Papa Joe and "Baba" Barbara (Joe's parents)
It was great food and even better time relaxing and enjoying extended family!
Mom, Kim and I have made it a tradition to go Black Friday shopping. Well, this year since all the sales started on Thursday night Kim said she would sit it out, but Mom and I couldn't pass up Target. Right before we left, Kim called and said she was caving in to the pressure and wanted to come too! So we waited outside in the cold for a little while before the doors opened, then went in with the rest of the crazies! It was nothing like what you saw on TV, (we went to the Hickory Target) people were actually really friendly and smiling. People were even helping each other out trying to find stuff! Kim may or may not have found what she was looking for sitting in a random spot by itself and picked it up... we are pretty sure that it was abandoned and she didn't take it away from anyone! I found a great gift for my dad too- I'm pretty excited about it anyway!
