Just some more pictures that I didn't put in earlier posts, but I wanted to have for my blog book.
Rachel brought this balloon to the hospital the day we were discharged. I think it was originally supposed to be here for when we came home, but she wanted to bring it, and it was not worth the fight to keep it at the house! She still finds it and brings it to any guests that come over, and says "baby brother's a boy!" For some reason, she calls him "baby brother" rather than Gavin... we're working on that.
First bath- he was not so fond of this time, but got settled down very quickly and he's tolerating them better now!
Rachel is a GREAT big sister and loves to help feed Gavin and throw away dirty diapers. Oh, and give him his paci- she's not great at that yet, but if he starts to cry she informs us that baby brother needs paci! Again, we're working on her calling him Gavin
I have no idea when she turned in to such a little girl- she's growing up too fast!
Mimi stayed an extra night with us when we got home from the hospital. I was glad for the extra help with the transition, especially with Rachel. It was a lot going from being sick, to having Poppy here when she went to bed Friday night and waking up with Mommy and Daddy gone, and Poppy and Papa here. Then coming to the hospital, meeting Gavin, going home with all four grandparents for two days, then going down for a nap on Monday and waking up and having Grandma, Papa and Poppy all gone. So Mimi here for an extra night helped her quite a bit. Not to mention the help it was to have the extra set of hands getting the house cleaned up some and a good breakfast made!
